In its first release of the year, the speed-optimized distribution CachyOS improves the installation wizard. The start media uses a new display manager and bootes into a Wayland session by default. In the installation wizard you can now directly select the boot loader, by default Limine is used. Furthermore, the wizard recognizes the processor architecture used at the beginning of the installation process.
CachyOS is a Linux distribution developed in Germany and deliberately positioned outside the mainstream. Technically, it is based on Arch Linux, but strategically based on a clear focus: maximum performance while maintaining controlled stability.
