Storms continue to batter northern Thailand
Several provinces in the upper part of Thailand are taking a battering from the remains of tropical storm Bualoi, as floods have devastated vast residential areas, crippled infrastructure and inundated farmland close to harvest time.
Flash floods in Mae Sariang District, caused by Tropical Storm Bualoi, resulted in one death from a landslide. The Mae Sariang District Chief ordered all agencies to join forces to provide assistance.
The Deputy Governor of Mae Hong Son visited Mae Sariang to monitor flash floods in Ban Pa Mak. Homeowners were in tears as the floodwaters swept away 15 houses and damaged 7 subdistricts and 50 villages.
