Heavy rainfall that has been affecting Sakarya for the past two days has caused floods, water overflows, and landslides. Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi inspected the area around the Kanlıçay Stream in the Karapürçek district, received information about the ongoing work, and met with the victims of the disaster.
The heavy rainfall, for which the General Directorate of Meteorology issued an orange code warning for Sakarya, negatively affected life in the city. In the Karapürçek district, houses were flooded as a result of the Kanlıçay Stream overflowing. While the damage in the region was extensive, the before and after images of a house located 100 meters from the Sakarya River revealed the extent of the disaster.
