A landslide in the Geyve district of Sakarya has closed the connecting road on the D-650 highway from the Bilecik direction to the Doğançay and Maksudiye neighborhoods. Access to the two neighborhoods from this direction is currently impossible.
Heavy rainfall continuing in the Geyve district of Sakarya caused a landslide. Following the landslide in the Doğançay area of the D-650 Sakarya-Bilecik highway, access to the Doğançay and Maksudiye neighborhoods was closed, and teams from the Metropolitan Municipality, SASKI (Sakarya Water and Sewerage Administration), and DSI (State Hydraulic Works) have started working to reopen the road to traffic.

Heavy rainfall that has been affecting Sakarya since the night hours has caused flooding in many districts. Some roads have been closed to traffic, the ground floors of houses have been submerged, and a minor landslide has been reported in Doğançay, Geyve.
