Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ünal Üstel, stated that underwater search efforts for missing persons following the maritime accident off the coast of Girne are continuing uninterrupted, adding, "Our Ministry of Health has begun collecting DNA samples from the relatives of the missing persons today. The samples will be used in the identification process of the remains that are recovered."
