A new study published in Nature Medicine, conducted on the health data of over 70,000 people, combines recombinant herpes zoster vaccine with a reduction in cardiovascular events. The benefit is mainly about ischaemic heart disease and heart failure and seems more evident in the early years after vaccination.
People who received the Shingrix vaccine had a 12 percent lower risk of cardiovascular disease.
