The government approved a proposal on Monday to reduce unemployment benefits. In the first two months, the benefit is to be reduced from 80 percent of earnings to 65 percent, with a maximum of 60 percent of the average wage instead of 80 percent. It is also to be reduced for retraining, for parents of young children and for those who have recently taken care of loved ones. The Ministry of Labor reported this on its website.
