In the Giro d’Italia, today is the day for the first real test for the general classification contenders. The seventh stage finishes at the top of the infamous Blockhaus. The main favorites of the Giro d'Italia are not quite in the lead, but that could change today. The seventh stage will end with a demanding climb to the Blockhaus (1665 m above sea level). The climb is 13.6 kilometers long, with an average gradient of 8.4 percent.
