When non-members of the Vietnamese minority are featured in domestic cinema, the script usually presents one stereotype after another: a ridiculous accent, bizarre traditions, or illegal business. Hanoi native Dužan Duong, who has lived in the Czech Republic since childhood, portrays them in the first Czech Viet-film, Summer School, 2001. After its premiere in Vary, it will be released in wide distribution on July 24.
