An oil tanker that appears in naval databases as one that never existed has turned around heading for German waters and is now sailing towards the Arctic coast of Russia. Probably, the ship was forced to turn around by the German authorities.
Germany prevented the Russian shadow fleet tanker Tavian, flying the Cameroonian flag, from entering its territorial waters last weekend, the Süddeutsche Zeitung, NDR and WDR reports.
The vessel was under a false flag.
According to a media report, the Bundespolizei is apparently more consistent against the Russian shadow fleet. According to information from NDR, WDR and "Süddeutscher Zeitung" several Russian ships were denied the trip through the German coastal sea.
The German authorities began to ban ships linked to the Russian Federation from entering territorial waters, one of which occurred on 10 January with a "zombie" tanker, Tavian, who was allegedly on his way to Petersburg.
