The Kremlin ruled Thursday illegal the decision of the European Union to transfer revenue generated by Russian frozen assets to Ukraine, denouncing the measure as "a theft," Reuters reports.

In the Kremlin, the Brussels decision to transfer the proceeds of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine in the amount of Euro8 billion was described as theft. "We have already assessed these actions on several occasions, we believe they are illegal, we really believe that they are theft, and we are, as appropriate, concerned," said President Dmitry Peskov's press secretary and added, "Nothing has changed in our position here either."
