The EU and Four Southern African Countries About to Sign an Enhanced Economic Partnership Agreement

Earlier this week, the EU, the Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles finalized discussions for the signing of a strengthened Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). The first of its kind on the continent. The EU is already the main trading partner of these Southern African states, and is therefore seeking to provide a clear framework for trade but also to secure its partnerships while global trade is in the midst of a recomposition.
