The Estonian Defence Forces Academy will train half as many army officers

Young people who have completed the eight-week basic soldier course can now, instead of continuing their military service, if selected, go to the Estonian Defence Forces Academy and study to become junior officers. The academy will train half as many land force officers in the coming years compared to before.

The Estonian Army has made a qualitative leap in the capabilities of its artillery units with the incorporation of its first six highly mobile HIMARS artillery systems, which were acquired from the United States, and received on 30 April at the Ämari Air Base.
