This means 380 megawatts of additional capacity, but less than what was lost in Paks on Saturday alone.
After a three-day forced shutdown and rapid repair work, the G3 unit of the Százhalombatta Dunamenti Power Plant restarted at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, the power plant and Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced. After the steam turbine's sealing fault was resolved, the unit connected to the grid provides nearly 400 megawatts of additional capacity for the domestic electricity system, which is under critical load due to the heat wave.
This represents 360 megawatts of additional capacity.
