On Friday, the NGO Human Rights Watch (HRW) denounced the “abuse and inhuman” situation in which migrants imprisoned at Guantánamo prison in Cuba find themselves, and urged the U.S. Executive to immediately cease the transfer of prisoners to these facilities and to respect International Human Rights Law, which “prohibits arbitrary detention, torture and other ill-treatment.”
