The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park Preview: “We Don’t Go to Central Park”
The third major DLC adds a darker campaign, a returning companion system and an open-world map roughly twice the size of Battle for Brooklyn.
- On Thursday, Ubisoft announced Echoes of Central Park, the third major expansion for The Division 2, slated for Nov. 3 release in New York City.
- Investigating a distress signal leads agents into Central Park, a horror-infused zone Ubisoft describes as "a part of New York City we've never explored." The setting is significantly larger than the Battle for Brooklyn DLC.
- Gameplay features include a returning companion system with three characters and a roguelike-inspired endgame mode described as "each run different, each run deadlier." Players access six new skill variants and The Ratel Exotic weapon across the expanded map.
- Launching Nov. 3, the expansion arrives two days before The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time hits Nintendo Switch 2. Ubisoft is offering a free trial of The Division 2 from September 24 through September 28.
- Ubisoft confirmed full crossplay support is coming to The Division 2 at a later date, positioning the new horror-focused narrative as a significant departure from the series' previous tone.
