This Sunday morning, on the Transat Café l'Or, a change of course for the Ultimates! Very unstable weather conditions with low winds forced the race direction to change the southern point of the race course. Francis Le Goff, race director, explains this decision.
Martinique is in sight for the Ultim fleet, which is expected to arrive in Fort-de-France on Thursday. Still leading the multihulls on the Transat Café L'Or, SVR-Lazartigue has thickened its mattress on its competitors on Monday morning.
To ensure a group arrival in Fort-de-France, the ULTIM trimarans' course has been shortened. Ascension Island is therefore no longer included! The tiny islands of San Pedro and San Paolo, near the geographic equator, will be the final mark on the course, now to be left to starboard.
