'The Debut,' directed by Jesse Eisenberg, to open San Diego International Film Festival

- The film draws from Eisenberg's childhood in 1990 New Jersey, where he felt "so shy, I was depressed," before finding transformation through the kindness of a community theater that welcomed him.
