[Chatan] On the 1st, marking 81 years since the US military landed on the main island of Okinawa during the Battle of Okinawa, a peace promotion event organized by Chatan Town was held at the Sunabe Community Center, near the landing site. Students from the town told about the realities of the Battle of Okinawa, the land seizures by the US military, and the history of base construction to about 30 townspeople.
