The Czech tennis team last dominated the team competition, formerly known as the Fed Cup, in 2018. This year, they want to end the wait and have flown to Shenzhen for the BJK Cup final tournament with a very ambitious lineup. Its core consists of Wimbledon finalists Linda Nosková and Karolína Muchová and doubles world number one Kateřina Siniaková.
It was impossible to nominate a stronger Czech team. Two top 10 players, two more from the top 30 and the world number one in doubles. Captain Barbora Strýcová set off with her tennis Dream Team to Shenzhen on Wednesday evening to bring back the Billie Jean King Cup, which has so far eluded the Czechs after the change in the name and format of the competition.
