The investigating judge of the Central District Court in Buda ordered the detention of Miklos Sestak, the spokesperson of the Court in Budapest announced after the hearing held today, Nepsava newspaper reports.
Coercive measures have also been decided against two former Hungarian ministers in corruption cases: the prosecution has requested the arrest of former Minister of Culture and Innovation Balázs Hankó for the illegal distribution of grants from the National Cultural Fund, while the court has already ordered the arrest of former Minister of National Development Miklós Seszták on suspicion of accepting official bribes, MTI reported.
The investigative judge of the Kecskemét District Court will decide on the arrest order on October 1.
The prosecution will file a motion in the case of the former Minister of Culture on Wednesday, Origo has learned.
