The parties to the construction union settlement have until Wednesday night to agree on this year's wage settlement. The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions has announced a general strike from Wednesday morning if the agreement is not reached.
There will be no strike, after both Fellesforbundet and Parat reached an agreement with Norsk Industri.
Now Parat and Norsk Industri have also agreed on the front union settlement.
The mediation between the Confederation of Norwegian Industries (LO) and the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (NHO) ended in a solution on Sunday. The parties agreed on a wage ceiling of 4.4 percent.
– This wage settlement ensures a solid improvement for both the economy, predictability and security of Norwegian workers, says Christian Justnes, leader of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions, in a press release.
