The red-green coalition won the Norwegian parliamentary elections.
The left wins in Norway, but the political landscape is divided. SRF Nordeuropa correspondent on the consequences.
The Norwegian parliamentary election did not hold any surprises. It went as expected according to the opinion polls, and the red-green bloc won. The Labour Party can continue to govern our western neighbor.
The Norwegians renewed their confidence in the outgoing Labour government, perceived as an element of stability in an uncertain world. At the end of the legislation on Monday 8 September, however, the Rose Party will have to compromise to secure the support of its allies in Parliament.


Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre intends to rule in a minority and on his own, as he did the last few months after the coalition split with the Centrist Party
The Labour Party (AP) received 28 percent of the vote, giving it 54 seats in the Storting. The center-left coalition received a total of 88 seats, strengthening its position for the next four years. At the same time, the far-right Progress Party (FRP) achieved a historic victory, receiving 24 percent of the Norwegian vote.
