The austerity measures that have hit public servants and ordinary pensioners hard do not seem to apply to the budget of the Constitutional Court. According to some sources, three judges who will finish their mandates will receive compensation of 180,000 lei, or approximately 36,000 euros each. This is despite the fact that the Government has categorically banned such payments in the budgetary system.
