Following Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's return as CHP leader, a change of leadership at the Düzce Provincial branch caused tension. Kenan Akın, appointed to replace Özcan Dağıstanlı who was expelled from the party, broke down the door to the party building on his first day in office when it was locked. Akın had the banners featuring Özgür Özel and Ekrem İmamoğlu outside the building taken down and replaced with Turkish flags.
Tensions within the CHP's central headquarters continue to spread to the provinces. In Düzce, Kenan Akın, appointed to replace Özcan Dağıstanlı (who was dismissed by the Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu administration), and his associates broke into the provincial party headquarters, which had been locked by the previous administration. Police arrived at the scene and struggled to quell the brawl that erupted among party members.
In yet another province, the CHP's leadership, led by Kenan Akın, broke into a building by kicking down the doors. Akın, who was appointed as the Düzce Provincial Chairman, kicked down the door of the party's provincial headquarters and even recorded the incident.
