Teaser: Jason Statham In "The Beekeeper 2"
Miramax’s sequel brings back Adam Clay as a wanted man who must stop a rogue organization, with Jason Statham returning and Timo Tjahjanto directing.
- Amazon MGM Studios premiered the first trailer for The Beekeeper 2, featuring Jason Statham's return as assassin Adam Clay. The action sequel opens in theaters on January 15, 2027.
- In the sequel, Clay must protect President Jessica Danforth from rogue Beekeepers who have turned against their mission. Jeremy Irons, playing former CIA director Wallace Westwyld, warns that the operatives "want complete control of the government, and they're prepared to kill anyone who gets in their way."
- Director Timo Tjahjanto helms the film, bringing new cast member Pom Klementieff to the franchise. The trailer showcases Clay driving a 1969 Dodge Super Bee "fully loaded with stinger," featuring a passenger-side minigun.
- Miramax finances the sequel, arriving three years after the 2024 original's release. The first film grossed $162 million worldwide, establishing strong commercial momentum for the follow-up.
- Following a preview at CinemaCon earlier this year, expectations remain "sky-high" for increased intensity. Statham is poised to deliver the beatdowns and wisecracks that made the original a hit.
