The bark beetle is on the decline in the Olomouc Region, the first swarming of this year is expected

The Forests of the Czech Republic (LČR) expect that there will be fewer trees infested with bark beetles this year than in previous years. This continues the downward trend. Last year, LČR processed 113,000 cubic meters of bark beetle-infested trees in the Olomouc Region, which represented 18.7 percent of total logging.
