Pensions will increase by an average of 304 crowns per month from January 2027. The basic assessment, which is the same for all pensioners, will increase by 270 crowns. The government will add 0.2 percent to the statutory valorization to the percentage assessment of the pension. For the average old-age pension, this represents an additional 34 crowns. The coalition also agreed on a one-off contribution to pensioners in the amount of 2,000 crowns.
In addition to the increase in valorization, pensioners will also receive a gift in the form of 2,000 crowns. According to the government, this is a reaction to developments, according to the opposition, it is a pre-election gift that could have been used more effectively. The opposition is criticizing the flat-rate contribution of 2,000 crowns for pensioners, as agreed upon by the government on Monday in connection with the decision on pension valorization. The contribution, which the opposition refers to as a pre-election gift to voters, is wanted by the coalition of ANO, SPD and Motorists through an amendment to the Pension Insurance Act.
