The leadership of the Sahel Alliance announced that the second summit, scheduled for this month, would be postponed until next September in the financial capital, Bamako, without clarifying the reasons for the postponement. This comes in the light of simultaneous attacks in Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso, carried out by the community of the Christians of Islam and Muslims, targeting military and security positions in border areas.
