In the past 18 months, at least 27 journalists have been victims of censorship and judicial harassment for their criticism of officials, governors and legislators linked to the Morena hegemonic party. That is, one censorship case is registered every three weeks. According to Article 19, these cases included litigation and lawsuits for moral damage, as well as accusations of gender-based political violence to curb investigations into politicians.
