TGI Fridays Launches New Menu in Comeback After Rescue
UNITED KINGDOM, JUL 4 – TGI Fridays UK updates half its menu and revamps 70% of grill items to boost sales and guest satisfaction after private equity rescue and restructuring.
TGI Fridays UK announced a full brand reset and new menu on July 5, 2025, following a rescue and restructuring process.
The reset followed Breal Capital and Calveton UK acquiring 51 restaurants last year after the previous operator fell into administration.
Since the acquisition, the business restructured over eight months, reducing overheads, investing in staff, and rebuilding its offer on quality and value.
CEO Julie McEwan described the moment as a thrilling new chapter for TGI Fridays, involving a comprehensive brand refresh that highlights the qualities customers have cherished throughout its history.
The reset and comeback campaign aim to revive the brand's heritage and increase customer visits, supported by menu updates and promotional offers during Independence Weekend.
