Late Sunday morning, the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps (CNSAS) was activated by the 118 Palermo-Trapani Operations Center to rescue a 71-year-old American hiker who was injured along the Mircene trail, on the northeast slope of Monte Palmeto, in the municipality of Terrasini.
