The National Weather Service in Morristown has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado with winds up to 85 MPH touched down near Sweetwater in Loudon County, Tennessee.

According to the Sheriff's Office, dozens of first responders are at the scene assessing victims and transporting them to the hospital. Bengel also reported downed power lines, tress, and debris.

Tennessee Highway Patrol assessing possible tornado damage in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is responding to potential tornado damage in Sweetwater. Several homes were impacted by the storms. Photos from THP show a camper overturned, insulation tangled in wire fences, and debris scattered across the area.
