Some fascinating news: Michael Arias, the director of Tekkonkinkreet, is adapting another manga from the legendary manga-ka Taiyo Matsumoto. This time, Arias is tackling Sunny, Matsumoto’s manga about a foster home in 1970s Japan. The film is listed as being in Japanese and produced by GKIDS, the US-based producer and distributor recently acquired by Toho.
