13-year-old dies after drowning in DeSoto County lake

DESOTO COUNTY – A 13-year-old boy died after drowning in a neighborhood lake in Walls, according to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, according to WMC. Deputies responded to the incident around 6 p.m. on June 1 after the child fell into the lake. Authorities said deputies were able to rescue the boy from the water.
