Teen Dies After Electrocution from Fallen ESCOM Cable in Phalombe
Police in Phalombe District have confirmed the death of 18-year-old Gift Muhawa, who was electrocuted after stepping on a fallen ESCOM cable. The district’s police spokesperson, Jimmy Kapanja, said the incident occurred at Phaloni Trading Centre. Following the accident, members of the public rushed Muhawa to Reverend John Chilembwe Hospital, where he later died while receiving treatment.
