Police investigating the fatal stabbing of Daniel Te Mataku in Wainuiomata on 2 April 2026 have filed a murder charge against a 17-year-old young person. “The defendant will make their initial appearance in the Hutt Valley Youth Court today”, said Detective Inspector Nick Pritchard.
