Teen, 15, who accidentally shot himself lied to cops about it being a drive-by

A 15-year-old who accidentally shot himself last week in Elmwood Park later lied to police and said he’d been injured in a drive-by shooting, officials said. The teen shot himself in the hand and leg around 5 p.m. Saturday on Donor Avenue, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.
