Teck Resources Lowers Copper Production Guidance for 2025
- Teck Resources Inc. has reduced its copper production guidance for 2025 to between 415,000 and 465,000 tonnes, down from 470,000 to 525,000 tonnes.
- The lowered expectations are due to reduced forecasts for the Quebrada Blanca mine in Chile, now estimated at 170,000 to 190,000 tonnes, down from 210,000 to 230,000 tonnes.
- Production from Highland Valley Copper is now expected to be between 120,000 and 130,000 tonnes, a decrease from the previous estimate of 135,000 to 150,000 tonnes.
- Teck's proposed merger with Anglo American PLC is still under review by the Investment Canada Act.
