- One New Orleans-based identity-verification company, IDScan, confirmed an incident; its database reportedly contained 153 million driver's licenses, more than 10 million identification cards, and at least 579,000 medical cards.
- IDScan said it "received information" on September 1 about the hack; the company stated that "though full access to the information required payment," it is notifying potentially affected individuals.
