Te Kopi Road in Carterton is closed at the bridge just past the Te Whiti Road turn‑off [Carterton end] due to bridge deck damage. The closure is in effect immediately as a precautionary safety measure. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes. Travel via Masterton through to Gladstone is the best alternative route for normal traffic. Source
