Taylor Swift Becomes only Artist to Achieve Three UK Number One Singles in 2026
The expanded edition of The Life Of A Showgirl also returned to No. 1 on the UK albums chart, giving Swift her fifth chart double.
- Taylor Swift clinched her eighth UK number one single with 'Patient Zero' on Friday, marking her third chart-topping track of 2026 and her fifth consecutive UK chart double.
- An expanded version of The Life Of A Showgirl, released last Friday, drove this success, with the record's return to the top spot coinciding with the one-year anniversary of its original release.
- 'Patient Zero' follows previous 2026 hits 'Opalite' and the Toy Story 5 track 'I Knew It, I Knew You' on the charts, where London-based band Keo also reached number two with Put A Smile On Me.
- Celebrating the milestone, Swift posed in a Burberry polo shirt, with her choice of the British heritage label paying homage to classic London design traditions.
- Meanwhile, Michael Jackson's compilation album, The Essential, continues to hold at number five, and Britpop band Oasis is climbing the charts following the announcement of their Oasis Live 27 tour.
