On 5 September, the taxi organisations, led by the FNDT, plan massive blockages across France to oppose a health transport reform, which threatens the sustainability of a vital sector in the face of savings imposed by sickness insurance.
The government is attacking the surge in health transport costs, which reached €6.8 billion in 2023. Among the levers, the harmonisation of tariffs, which will be imposed, among other things, on the 40,000 taxis agreed. The National Taxi Federation (FNDT) announces a mobilization as early as 5 September.
