The tax plans of Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil are resisting in the Union faction. Some 20 Members reject the "picture" sugar tax and limited reliefs in income tax.
In the Union, resistance to the tax plans of the own federal government is growing. The planned sugar tax in particular causes severe displeasure – several specialist politicians are now openly opposed to the plans of Merz and Klingbeil.
In the Bundestag faction of CDU and CSU, massive resistance to the fiscal policy plans of their own government is stirred up. Several policy-makers completely reject the planned burdens, as "Image" reports.
Now enough is enough for many Members of the European Union: financial and agricultural experts dare the uprising against the tax policy of their own government.
