The Ukrainian military has lost one of its experienced pilots and a MiG-29 fighter jet. According to an official statement from the Ukrainian Air Force, Serhiy Bondar (46) died during a landing maneuver after completing a combat mission in the early morning hours of August 23. The causes of the accident are still under investigation.
On the night of August 23, returning from a combat mission, the pilot of the 40th tactical aviation brigade “Ghost of Kyiv”, deputy squadron commander Major Sergei Bondar, was killed.
