- Dos Santos underwent skin grafts after escaping the inferno with burns to his back, face, hands, and arms. Coline was evacuated to Belgium, where she spent three weeks in a coma and underwent surgery three times.
- "This moment has an even more special meaning," Dos Santos said in a club statement. He added that difficult months in the hospital made him stronger and taught him to never give up.
- Returning to action on April 11 in the French fifth-tier division, the youth academy product is described by Metz as a "tireless worker." The club faces relegation to the second tier next season.
