The former opposition municipal councillor in Fontaine appeared this Wednesday, June 10 in the Criminal Court of Grenoble. He was prosecuted for laying pig bones in front of a Muslim prayer hall on September 19, 2025 and for writing Islamophobic inscriptions.
The former far-right elected of Fontaine (Isère) Franck Sinisi was sentenced this Wednesday to 10 months in prison with a suspended sentence for provocation to hatred. The man was tried for writing Islamophobic tags and depositing pig bones as well as a piece of sausage in front of a Muslim prayer room in Fontaine in September 2025.
Franck Sinisi admitted that in September 2025 he had degraded a hall in Fontaine, Isère, serving as a Muslim place of worship. The old Front National had deposited pork rib bones, sausage and tagged "Islam out" on his windows.
