More and more people are missing out and drowning while bathing. Last weekend alone, at least 15 people were killed in bathing accidents throughout Germany, reports the DLRG.

The high temperatures increase the risk of bathing accidents. In Switzerland, too, the number of deaths is increasing: in 2024, 52 people were killed bathing. Young men are particularly at risk.
