The Swedish Armed Forces on Tuesday asked the government to seize property belonging to a Russian citizen near a naval base in the Stockholm archipelago.
The Swedish Fortification Agency has applied to expropriate a property near Musköbasen, Haninge garrison, with regard to “the protection values of the Armed Forces and the security of the nation.” The property is currently owned by a person with Russian citizenship.
The large house on Muskö, which is being built by a Russian businessman with connections to the Putin regime, can be taken over by the Swedish state. – There is nothing more important than Sweden's security, says Lieutenant General Carl-Johan Edström in a press release.
