This Saturday, February 28, 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. He was killed on February 28, 1986 at 11:21 p.m. with a bullet in his back in the heart of Stockholm. Olof Palme returned from the cinema on foot with his wife when he was shot. An unsolved murder, now a national trauma in Sweden.
